Are you wondering what benefits dispatch networking can have for your fleet?

We recently met up with three Newcastle-based fleets, Local Taxi Group, Kingsway Cabs, and Nearby Taxis, to see first-hand how dispatch networking is transforming their businesses.

Dispatch networking can benefit your business in many ways. Some fleets need to find more demand to keep their drivers busy, while others are overbooked and don’t have enough supply to meet demand. As a result, some fleets are more likely to send work into the network, others are more likely to receive work, and some experience a mix of both, depending on the time of day and driver availability.

For Sam Montague from Local Taxi Group and Scott Clydesdale from Kingsway Cabs, they’re predominantly sending trips. Each fleet has approximately 50 cars and is growing. They’re now using the network to build their brands, knowing they can invest in marketing without worrying about having to turn away overbooking demand. Both have implemented new policies with their teams to ensure all bookings are always accepted – no more letting passengers down.

For Punjy at Nearby Taxis, who has a large fleet of 2,200 cars, dispatch networking is mostly about demand. He’s receiving thousands of additional trips for his drivers every month, which keeps their wheels turning and brings in additional revenue – over £16,000 last month alone!

The consensus was clear: if we can’t service a passenger booking, they’re at risk of turning to a ride-hail service instead. By working together, we’re saving passengers from leaking to competitors – one booking at a time.

Watch the case study below to hear directly from the fleets about their experience, and discover how dispatch networking could work for your fleet.
