Empowering Women in the Taxi and Private Hire Industry
We’re excited to share some great news for members of the Taxi Alliance! iCabbi will now cover the cost for one individual from each fleet to join Women in Transport.
What is Women in Transport?
Founded in 2005, Women in Transport is a UK-based nonprofit membership network open to everyone working in the transport sector. With 1,600+ members from across the industry, it provides access to events, networking, volunteering opportunities, and professional development programmes. For women, it also offers the Advance mentoring programme and the Lead leadership development programme, while advocating for greater equity and inclusion across the transport sector.
Why has the Taxi Alliance introduced this benefit?
This initiative is more than just a membership, it’s a chance to ensure that female perspectives are represented and supported in the taxi and private hire industry. It also strengthens our sector’s voice in broader conversations about transport policy, infrastructure, and industry wide collaboration.
Until now, many in our community have missed out on opportunities to participate in research, mentoring programs, education, and networking, all of which support personal growth, career development, and ultimately benefit businesses.

The deadline to sign up to Women in Transport is 31st March. Please ensure you nominate a representative from your fleet by this date.
