iCabbi acknowledges the announcement by Veezu on 3rd June 2026 outlining their strategic investment in Cab9. Over time this means that Veezu, a long-standing customer of iCabbi, will move its licenses off the iCabbi platform. iCabbi has been privy to the context for this move for some time. Veezu has been very open with iCabbi in tabling their desired strategy for vertical integration. Given that this could not be achieved with iCabbi, yesterday’s announcement is no surprise.  While we regret parting ways with any customer, we appreciate that this departure is the result of Veezu’s parent company MML Capital Partners’ prescribed corporate strategy, and has no bearing whatsoever on the quality technology and service provided by iCabbi to Veezu since October 2014.

We would like to be clear to our customer base across the UK that this development will not impact the level of service, support or reliability you have come to expect from us. Our commitment to you, and to the UK market, remains strong and we are fully-focused on your success.

The Taxi Alliance, of which Veezu is not a part, was set up in 2022 to bring strength, security and collaboration to the independent taxi and private hire sector. The Taxi Alliance has grown to over 44k taxis since its inception. It remains the largest group of taxi and private hire fleets in the UK, while iCabbi in its entirety is the world’s largest dispatch provider.

The Taxi Alliance continues to welcome new fleets who wish to participate in a united taxi and private hire sector and benefit from world-class technology powered by iCabbi’s market-leading Google Fleet Engine integration. If you’re a fleet interested in switching your technology partner please feel free to contact sales@icabbi.com and we will be happy to talk with you.
