iCabbi is pleased to announce that Niall Prenty has been appointed as iCabbi’s new Chief Customer Officer, moving on from his role as Business Development Director.

Niall brings over 20 years of Customer facing experience, knowledge and expertise and has built up an extensive network of great relationships across the iCabbi Customer network and organisation. In his new role Niall will be responsible for leading the Customer Experience and Engagement strategy across all business units. He will be working closely with cross functional teams to ensure that iCabbi’s revamped Customer-centric approach will be at the forefront of all decision-making.

Niall first joined iCabbi back in 2012 and was a key member of the original team that launched iCabbi into the Taxi industry. In the early days Niall worked very closely with our early adopter customers in understanding what was needed for their Fleets, and making sure it was built into the Product. With a background in Operations and Project Delivery he was well placed to work closely with the Customer base in getting fleets live and supported. He was Chief Operations Officer until 2016 and was responsible for setting up our Onboarding, Product, Support and Customer Success Teams.

From 2017 as Business Development Director, he was responsible for bringing iCabbi into Australia, New Zealand, Finland and Holland. His recent signing of Cabonline, one of Europe’s largest taxi fleets, will see iCabbi extend its footprint across the Nordics and mainland Europe in the coming years.

Mick Tope commented “I together with the rest of the management team at iCabbi have resolved to refocus and become a more customer centric organisation. Fine words and good intentions are worth little without structure, investment and drive. In terms of structure, we have appointed Niall Prenty as our Chief Customer Officer – in this role Niall will set and enforce the standards for all customer interactions. He will have the power, authority and budget to hear the voice of our customers and translate it into action. Having a C-Level representing the customers is just a starting point, since January we have hired 22 developers and 4 product managers, in the biggest scale up for many years – this scale up will give us the ability to respond and grow our product portfolio and do it in line with customers needs.”

Niall Prenty commented “I am very excited to step up into this role, it is one I have long aspired to. I have been customer facing for the last 10 years and have always taken a customer first approach. With Mick’s backing I have now been given a Customer focused remit to challenge and improve how we do business across all our teams and markets. I am extremely proud of the impact iCabbi has had over the last 10 years. We helped transform the traditional Taxi industry by building, with our customers input, the best Booking and Dispatch product in the market. I look forward to getting back working closely with our ever growing customer base in bringing Taxi and Private Hire to the next level”.
