Strategic partnership strengthens iCabbi’s US presence, customer support and continued expansion across Taxi and Non-Emergency Medical Transportation.
iCabbi, the leading cloud-based technology platform for the taxi and transportation industry, has announced the appointment of Kyle Summers as the exclusive Master Reseller for the US market, reinforcing the company’s long-term commitment to the United States and its growing customer base.
The new strategic partnership represents a significant investment in iCabbi’s US operations. It will strengthen the company’s local presence, expand dedicated customer support and ensure the continued development of the iCabbi platform reflects the evolving needs of transportation providers across the country.
From iCabbi’s First US Customer to Leading the US Market
Kyle Summers has played a unique role in iCabbi’s journey in the United States.
In 2015, Kyle became iCabbi’s very first US customer, before later joining the company and helping expand its presence across the market. His experience as both a transportation operator and technology leader has given him a first-hand understanding of the challenges facing US fleets and the role technology can play in helping them operate more efficiently and grow.
Today, iCabbi has established a significant footprint across the United States, supporting fleets in 35 states, representing more than 10,000 vehicles and powering approximately 12 million passenger trips every year.
Alongside its strong position within the US taxi industry, iCabbi is also supporting a growing number of Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) providers.
Expanding iCabbi’s NEMT Capabilities
The growth of iCabbi’s US business has seen the platform expand further into the NEMT sector, helping transportation providers manage increasingly diverse services through a single technology platform.
A key part of this expansion has been the integration of Move AI and its route optimisation technology into the iCabbi platform.
By combining intelligent route optimisation with iCabbi’s dispatch, booking and fleet management capabilities, operators can manage more complex transportation requirements while improving efficiency across their businesses.
In his new role, Kyle will work closely with iCabbi’s Product and Research & Development teams to continue enhancing the company’s NEMT capabilities. He will also help ensure the wider iCabbi platform continues to evolve in response to the specific needs of transportation providers operating in the United States.
Investing in Local Support and Customer Success
As part of the new partnership, Kyle will build dedicated US Support, Customer Success and Business Development capabilities to serve both iCabbi’s existing customer base and new customers joining the platform.
As President of the US Market for iCabbi, Kyle will lead the company’s efforts across the United States, with responsibility for its Taxi, NEMT and other relevant mobility market segments.
The structure is designed to bring iCabbi even closer to its US customers, combining local market knowledge and relationships with the technology, product expertise and R&D capabilities of iCabbi’s wider global business.
Mick Tope, CEO of iCabbi, said:
“The United States is one of iCabbi’s largest and most important markets, and today’s announcement reflects our long-term commitment to investing in our customers and our business there. Kyle combines deep operational experience with an exceptional understanding of our platform and our customers’ businesses. He is uniquely positioned to strengthen our local presence, ensure our innovation roadmap effectively responds to US market demands, and help shape the next phase of iCabbi’s growth in the USA.”
Combining Transportation Operations and Technology
Widely respected throughout the US transportation industry, Kyle brings a rare combination of operational leadership and technology expertise to the role.
As both a successful transportation operator with Old Dominion Transportation Group in Virginia and a long-standing member of the iCabbi team, he has first-hand experience of the challenges operators face.
That combination of perspectives has also enabled him to contribute directly to product innovation, helping ensure technology development translates into measurable value for transportation businesses.
Commenting on his appointment, Kyle Summers said:
“I’m excited to take on this role at such an important time for iCabbi in the United States. My priority is to work closely with our customers to ensure we’re delivering the support, innovation, and partnership they need to succeed. That includes continuing to strengthen our taxi platform while accelerating the evolution of our NEMT offering to meet the changing needs of providers across the United States. I look forward to meeting customers across the country and helping drive the next phase of iCabbi’s growth in the US market.”
The Next Phase of iCabbi’s US Growth
The appointment marks an important next step for iCabbi in the United States.
By investing in dedicated local leadership, support and customer success while maintaining a close connection with iCabbi’s global Product and R&D teams, the company is positioning itself to respond faster to the needs of US operators.
For existing customers, that means greater access to local expertise and support. For prospective customers, it brings a stronger US presence backed by a global transportation technology platform.
And as the boundaries between taxi, NEMT and other mobility services continue to evolve, iCabbi will continue investing in the technology and partnerships needed to help transportation providers adapt, diversify and grow.
