Experience Required:Â Â Â 10+ years of experience in R&D, with at least 5 years in managerial role.
We are seeking an experienced R&D Manager to lead our R&D team in enhancing quality, delivery, planning, efficiency and accountability. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in R&D development, team leadership, and process improvement. This role requires a strategic thinker who is passionate about technology and capable of fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of software developers and quality personnel. Foster a culture of innovation whilst ensuring an adequate level of predictability, accountability, output quality and continuous improvement.
Process Improvement
Analyse current workflows and implement best practices to enhance quality and productivity.
Establish / maintain effective management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, QA etc.).
Strategic Plan Execution
Work closely with the CTO refine the R&D strategy and develop from it an execution plan with the appropriate mix of efficiency and flexibility.
Set clear goals and KPIs for the team and regularly assess progress.
Stakeholder Management
Communicate effectively with project managers, cross-functional teams, customer teams etc. Ensuring alignment on project goals and deliverables.
Where required, serve as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
Performance Monitoring
Implement metrics to measure team performance and project outcomes, report as directed by the CTO.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback as directed by the CTO.
Recruitment and Retention
Participate in the hiring process to attract top talent as requested to do so by the CTO
Develop training and development plans to retain and grow team members.

Experience / Qualifications (desirable)
- A proven track record in R&D management in a B2B SaaS environment.
- 10+ years of experience in R&D, with at least 5 years in managerial role.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and tools.
- Proven experience in leading high-performing teams and driving process improvements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
