Core Responsibilities
- Research problems first-hand: time with operators and drivers, support ticket review, querying production data
- Build working prototypes to test ideas, rather than defaulting to slide decks or documents
- Write concise specs covering edge cases, decisions and a stated success measure
- Contribute code where appropriate, working within the normal review process, and hand over work that needs full engineering ownership
- Define a metric and instrumentation for each release, and review performance honestly afterwards
- Recommend retiring features that do not deliver value
- Share their own AI tooling and workflows so the wider team benefits
Skills & Experience
- Track record of taking a product or feature from concept to live use by paying customers
- Able to read and write code, reason about data models and APIs, and contribute to architecture discussions
- Regular hands-on use of agentic coding tools; able to build a prototype against a live API without engineering support
- Builds their own scripts and internal tools to reduce manual work
- Understands the limitations of AI tooling and designs process to catch failures early
- Can distinguish a demo from a production-ready system
- Commercial awareness: can explain the revenue or cost impact of work they’ve delivered
- Strong, direct written communication
- Experience in marketplace, logistics, payments or mobility is desirable, not essential

- Comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy and limited processes
- Expected to challenge process that adds no value, while working strictly within compliance requirements: payments regulation, data protection, driver and passenger safety, security and customer contractual obligations
