We’re delighted to announce the first of many features coming from our recent partnership with Google.
From today your system will be updated to use our new real time ETAs provided by Google Fleet Engine. Based on live traffic data, this gives you the most accurate ETAs available.
You will get the same ETA across all products; Dispatch, Driver App (iOS, Android coming soon), Passenger App, Web Booker, Business Solutions and Voice.
One Platform, One ETA
Your operators will have live GPS data feeds to help inform dispatch rules and decision making, leading to a far more efficient fleet.
Your Passengers will get far more accurate ETAs, helping to build trust and loyalty in your brand.
How it works
Once a driver accepts a booking:
- Operators will be able to see the ETA to the pickup address for that driver.
- Operators can see the driver ETA to the destination should they be trying to plan subsequent bookings.
- Passengers get the same accurate real-time ETA. This is available on the Passenger App, Web Booker, Business Solution, Voice, and by way of a live operator who can check it on Dispatch.
- Passengers, once they are on board, can then check in on the ETA to their destination.
Available on iOS
Please note that this feature requires turn-by-turn Google navigation in the Driver App. Right now, this is only available on iOS. You will be able to see Google ETAs working and understand their value first hand. However, the real value will come once the Android Driver App Google release is delivered, at which point your entire fleet and Dispatch system will be operating off sync Google ETAs.
Google Turn-by-turn navigation in the Android Driver App is currently in pilot and will go on general release in the coming weeks.
