Improving member-centered NEMT

Beyond efficient transportation, NEMT businesses carry a duty of care to ensure members travel in a way that supports their comfort, dignity, and health needs. While multi-loading helps improve efficiency, not every member is comfortable sharing a ride or remaining in the vehicle for extended periods, especially when managing health conditions or pain. When member preferences are not consistently applied, it can lead to complaints and a poor member experience.

In this episode of Solved, Hannah Greene, Product Manager at Move AI, explains how Move AI’s route optimization software helps maintain duty of care.  Using automation and advanced matching logic, we apply member preferences more consistently.

When members request a specific travel preference, dispatchers can add it to the member’s profile, such as requesting a solo ride or opting out of multi-loading. When a trip is requested, those preferences are automatically applied during routing and trip assignment.

This helps ensure members receive transportation that aligns with their needs while reducing complaints and manual adjustments for dispatch teams.
